Devotional: God’s Forgiveness and Love
Scripture:
"If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness." – 1 John 1:9
So, the next time you make a mistake, remember that God is always listening, and He loves you so much. Talk to Him, and He’ll help you feel clean and new again. And don’t forget to forgive others too—it’s a special way to show God’s love to the world!
Prayer for Forgiveness
Heavenly Father, I come before You, confessing my sins and asking for Your forgiveness. Your Word in 1 John 1:9 says that if we confess our sins, You are faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Lord, I acknowledge the ways I have fallen short and ask for Your mercy. Wash me clean and give me a new heart that longs to follow Your will.
Father, I also ask for the strength to forgive those who have hurt me. Teach me to release bitterness and anger, knowing that forgiveness brings freedom and peace. Let my life reflect Your love and grace, and help me to live in harmony with others. Thank You for Your endless mercy and for the gift of forgiveness through Jesus Christ. Amen.

The Feathers That Started It All
It began with a dream.
One night while sleeping in the fall of 2024, I saw something I’ll never forget. A figure stood before me — tall, calm, with wings folded gently down from the height of his ears to around his knees. His hair brushed his shoulders. He never turned around, but when I asked who he was, he said clearly, "Your guardian angel." When I asked his name, the answer came: "Opheni."
I didn’t know that name. I still don’t fully understand it. But the image, the moment, the message — it changed something deep in me. It wasn’t frightening. It wasn’t dramatic. It was steady. Reassuring. Like something had been set in motion.
And then came the feathers.
Each morning for the next seven or eight days, as I took my daily walk, I found a single bird feather on my path. One feather a day. Always visible. Always peaceful. After that stretch of days, they stopped. Just like that. No more feathers. No more signs. But by then... something inside me had shifted.
That was when I started writing The Preacher’s Kid.
I thought I was just telling my story — how I grew up, what I saw in the church, the joys and wounds of walking as a pastor’s son. But as I wrote, I realized it wasn’t just my story. It was a calling. It was something God had been preparing me to do.
That dream. Those feathers. They weren’t random. They were a holy nudge: "It’s time."
So The Preacher’s Kid became more than a book. It became a website. A ministry. A place to share devotionals, prayers, testimonies, and faith-based encouragement. A place to give others the comfort and guidance I received in that quiet, sacred moment.
If you’re reading this now, know that I don’t claim to fully understand what happened. But I believe God speaks to us in deeply personal ways — sometimes through dreams, sometimes through symbols, sometimes through quiet signs like feathers on a morning walk.
All I know is this: That week changed my life. It began with a dream and a name I’d never heard before. And somehow, it led to this — a mission, a message, and maybe a reminder for you too:
You are not alone.
God sees you. He’s calling you. And He may be closer than you think.
